I'm 38, single, and live in Sioux City, Iowa (just a hop, skip and a jump from where the fish lives). I work at
the Green Gables Restaurant which has been around over 75 years, where I've alternately worked
cashiering, waiting tables, hosting and doing the purchasing (*whew* I'm tired just saying that, much less
LIVING it!).
My madcap erotic love affair with MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000 began when I saw a satellite on my
TV, and heard the ominous phrase "Darn those space coons -- they got into the garbage again ... " From
those humble beginnings, I later watched "Catalina Caper," "Jungle Goddess," and "Master Ninja I." I
was hooked! Through hook or by crook, I scammed friends, neighbors, customers, and complete
strangers into recording MST3K for me. And thanks to an acquaintance (he bristles at the description
"friend"), I managed to get a complete series of the Comedy Central years. I luckily got cable in time for
the Sci Fi Channel sojourn, so I could tape it myself. MST3K for me opened a whole new world of
whimsy, wonder, and enchantment (whoa! 'scuse me folks! Got possessed by LeVar Burton for a
moment).
It was also thanks to the same acquaintance as listed above that I was introduced to CAPTION THIS!
What can I say? I've been warped because of MST3K, so riffing with a group of others was an eager
challenge for me. And to all newbies on CAP THIS, don't worry about not being welcomed or accepted by
the group. All it takes is a little patience, a little good humor, and/$20 slipped into the right cappers' hands
to say "LOL GlitterRock!" every now and again. Trust me, it's an investment that DOES pay off in the end!
After CAPTION THIS! ended, I decided to start my own captioning venue, Glitter's Cap-Page Board, where
everyone could continue targeting their warped senses of humor at TV shows and movies.
When I'm not capping (which is not as much as I'd like) or working (a bit more than I'd like), I enjoy trading
videos (including MST3K), working on the computer (where I'm starting to get into graphics -- I created
the logos for each of my cap pages, myself!), reading, getting caught in the rain, making love at midnight
in the dunes of the cape ... (whoa! Now I've been possessed by Rupert Holmes! I need a young priest and
an old priest ... ).
Hope you enjoy my site. I put alot of hard work (well, two hours or so) and hard sacrifice (well, two goats,
a sheep and a virgin) into it. It's a labor of love ... well, a labor of having some friends pester me
incessantly into making one so I can show off all the caps I've collected. But seriously, there are some
very funny cappers out there (including some dink named GlitterRock), and thankfully, I've saved some
